THE SCHOOL FOR PHILOSOPHY, ECONOMICS, AND THE HUMANITIES (“The School”) is a teaching institution providing educational programs to adults 21 years of age or older in the humanities and social sciences.

"Students" enroll in our courses and programs.

Visitors, Students, Instructors, Contributors and THE SCHOOL Employees are all “Users.” All User Information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Your Account, Password, and Security

Should you register for our courses or programs as a Participant, or initiate a Member or Subscriber Account with us, ensure that the details you provide during registration are both comprehensive and accurate. While you have the option to set up an Account with a username and password to take part in programs, doing so is not mandatory. The safeguarding of your Account details falls under your responsibility, as does all activity linked to your Account. If there's any unauthorized access or compromise of your Account, inform us right away.

We can't be held responsible for any losses you suffer due to someone else accessing your Account, unless that breach stems purely from our severe negligence or intentional wrongdoing. Conversely, you'll be accountable for any losses we face if someone gains access to your Account because you did not take reasonable precautions to protect it. It's essential that you refrain from accessing another person’s Account. Your Account is uniquely yours; transferring it or allowing others access is prohibited. Sharing your Account details could lead to its termination.

"Content" means course summaries, instructor profiles, articles, interviews, seminars, programs, data, communications, visuals, audio, software, and all the information and Content provided via the Site or in correspondance with instructors or employees of THE SCHOOL. This can be content owned by us, licensed to us, or made available by either us or our contributors.

We cannot influence or control any narratives or feedback other participants might share about their engagement with you in our courses or otherwise. It's vital to acknowledge that details like your name, address, profession, and any other personal information you opt to share with non-THE SCHOOL participants can be visible and utilized by them, potentially leading to unsolicited messages. We hold no liability for the data you decide to share with other users.

Code of Conduct

By using the Site, you agree not to engage in actions that defame, mistreat, harass, menace, or infringe upon the legal entitlements of others. Distribute or display content that promotes hatred or showcases obscene language and visuals. You agree not to infringe upon the intellectual property entitlements of third parties.
